RM For Windows, v10. Released

Chicago, IL (May 16, 1998) – ASI, providers of Point-of-Sale & Management Systems for the foodservice industry, today announced the release of Restaurant Manager for Windows, version 10.0. Already installed and operating in a number of establishments on the East Coast, Restaurant Manager for Windows is now available from any Restaurant Manager reseller worldwide.

ASI President Smiley Hsu explains, “We have been committed to working in the Windows environment for a long time. In fact, our Backoffice Module was converted to Windows nearly two years ago. With the release of our Windows POS product, ASI now provides a total Windows solution that is as solid and reliable as our original DOS product – and more feature-rich than ever.”

The features that made Restaurant Manager such a popular system – five levels of security; POS Status screens that show all pending orders at a glance; the “chained report” feature that issues multiple reports at the touch of a single button – all are still an integral part of Restaurant Manager for Windows. But the user interface is much more intuitive and easy to use.

Best of all, Restaurant Manager for Windows offers a fully integrated POS solution. This means table service, quick service, delivery, bar tabs and drive-thru transactions can all be managed from any one POS station. These different transaction types can be tracked independently or presented in consolidated sales reports.

According to Edgar Ulloa, manager of Langways Sports Club, outside Washington, DC, “Getting selected as a beta test site for the new version of Restaurant Manager was the best thing that could have happened to this business! I love being able to monitor the restaurant floor from my office. And my staff find it so quick and easy to use that billing errors and customer complaints are almost non-existent now.”
