Chicago, IL ( May 18, 1999) With the installation of a three station Restaurant Manager Point-of-Sale system in an Outback Steakhouse in Hong Kong, ASI has reached a total installed client base of 1,500 stores. It is telling that weve reached our 1999 sales goal three months ahead of time and in an overseas setting. said ASI president Smiley Hsu. Restaurant Manager has been on the market since 1988. But it was the release of the fully Windows-based version 10.0 almost a year ago that really caused sales to take off.
The features that made Restaurant Manager such a popular system five levels of security; POS screens that show all pending orders at a glance; a chained report feature that issues multiple reports at the touch of a single button all are still an integral part of Restaurant Manager for Windows. But the user interface is much more intuitive and easy to use. In fact, the average training time for a server is under an hour.
Flexible configuration options in tax table setup, language files, currency conversions and date settings mean that Restaurant Manager is particularly well suited to the international market. ASI is just now beginning to look to the international market in a serious way, notes ASI CEO Alex Malison. But, I predict that by this time next year our overseas sales will have more than quadrupled.
Founded in 1987, ASI specializes in Point-of-Sale and Management software for the foodservice industry.
